What is Resoling?

Resoling involves removing the front part of the old sole of your climbing shoe and replacing it with a new one. This method ensures that the soles are not layered, thus maintaining the original performance of your equipment.

When should I resole my climbing shoe?

It's time to resole when the sole, especially the front toe or the inner edge, is worn or badly damaged. Failing to act quickly can lead to a hole in the shoe, rendering it irreparable.

Should I also change the rand?

The rand is the rubber layer that surrounds the toe of the shoe. If this rand is worn, it is advisable to replace it at the same time as the resole to prevent rapid wear after repair.

What if my shoe has a hole?

If the hole is less than 5 mm², a stitching repair is possible, though it involves an additional cost. If the leather is damaged but not torn, reinforcement stitching will be necessary.

Can I choose the sole for the resole?

We offer different qualities of rubber to suit your needs. Here are the available options:

Standard Rubber:

  • TRACTOR (Excellent grip and flexibility, great for outdoor climbing. Good versatility.)
  • ENDURO (Longer durability while maintaining good grip.)
  • INDOOR (Longer durability with good grip on artificial holds and non-marking.)

Performance Rubber:

  • XS GRIP (Very flexible and grippy, average durability. Good for rounded holds.)
  • XS EDGE (Very precise and rigid, great for outdoor climbing. Good for micro holds.)

What is the warranty?

We guarantee the quality of the resole, including a free correction service for any bonding or finishing defects detected upon receipt or after a few uses.
