In order for your climbing shoes to be resoled effectively, it is crucial that they are clean, inside and
out, without being damp from sweat, without being filled with talcum powder or chalk.

At first glance, is the leather supple and free of cracks?
When the leather is stiff or cracked, there is a significant risk that the resoling will not hold, and that
you will end up with destroyed shoes even after repair.
Is the midsole present entirely at the tip?
The midsole is the part that structures the shoe. If it is damaged, the shoe cannot be
repaired.
This part is located at the front of the shoe, under the sole of the foot at the toe.
Acid perspiration eats away at the leather.
Is the midsole intact and without cracks?
Crazing is a crack that appears on the leather.
If it is present, the shoes cannot be repaired.

Wash your shoes!
How to wash them?
Cold wash and only for 100% synthetic climbing shoes. If you are unsure about the material composition of your shoes, opt for hand washing.
Otherwise, you can!
With a sponge and water, remove excess chalk and/or dirt.
Do not put talcum powder or chalk in or on your shoes!
